Interpreter I grew up in a Christian family, so I’ve heard about God from a very young age. It has always been very natural for me to believe in God, because I really had no reason to think otherwise. When I was 9 years old, God called my parents to move to a small village in the heart of Transylvania. I didn’t understand why we had to go, since everything I ever had was in that safe place where we lived before. I hated everything in that new place and I was angry with my parents and with God, because I wanted my old life and my old home back. As the years passed, I came to understand that God has a plan for everyone, and us moving was part of this plan. I was 14 when I went to a camp with my local church and through a conversation with my youth leader, I understood that God wants my life too and wants me to be His beloved daughter. Right then I decided to follow Him in everything I do, and I will live my life to serve Him. I was full of this fire for Him and couldn’t wait to tell others about it. Right after this summer, as I went to high school, I went through the worst ups and downs in my life and turned away from God for over 2 years. It’s only through His amazing grace and love that He came to bring me back to His family. I was 17 when I finally really understood that I can’t serve 2 gods and can’t be a “part time Christian”, because that’s not what God is looking for. Since then, even though I went through some tough times, my only desire is to serve God and deepen my relationship with Him. That is why I came to WOL Hungary and want to learn more about how can I be a better servant of my heavenly Father. |
