My parents moved to Hungary when I was 4 years old. I was saved shortly after that. My dad, Dave James alongside another American, Al Konya founded the Bible Institute in Hungary. I went to the BI for two years straight out of High School, after which I volunteered for 2 years at WOL Hungary, serving as the main translator for the school, as well as working in the Multimedia department. After the first year of my internship, I married my lovely wife, Lili, and we both stayed for another year as interns.

Both Lili and I had a strong desire to become full-time missionaries so we decided to finish our studies in the States and then go to a mission field. As we were finishing up our studies, we started to consider where the Lord would like us to be. The more we talked about it, the more we felt that Word of Life Hungary is where we could be used by God the most. My wife is Hungarian, so we both speak the language fluently, know the culture well, and we both served at Word of Life Hungary for many years in many capacities. We want to bring glory to Him as we serve Him there.​
